Terms of Service
About these terms
These terms govern your use of the Clerq website (aiclerq.com), any purchase of our digital books through it, and any contact you make with us through it. By using this website, buying a book or submitting a form, you agree to these terms.
Who you are buying from
Clerq is a trading name. The business is operated by a sole trader based in London, United Kingdom. It is not a limited company, so there is no company registration number.
Trading address: London, United Kingdom.
You can contact us at any time at stephen@aiclerq.com. A real person reads and replies to every email.
The price you see is the total you pay.
Digital products and refunds
Clerq sells digital publications ("A Clerq Publication") as one-off purchases. Payment is taken through Stripe, and your files are emailed to you afterwards as attachments, normally within minutes. They are yours to keep for good, on as many of your own devices as you like. If the email goes astray, or you lose the files later, we re-send them free of charge at any time - just email stephen@aiclerq.com.
What you receive depends on what you buy:
- A single edition - the book in both PDF and EPUB, DRM-free.
- The complete set - all four editions, in both formats, together with the prompt and playbook pack, delivered as a single archive file.
- The prompt and playbook pack - one PDF. This one is not published as an EPUB, because it is a reference document meant to be read and copied from rather than read straight through.
- A team licence - the same files as the corresponding single edition, licensed for the number of readers set out below.
Your statutory cancellation right
As a UK consumer buying at a distance you normally have 14 days to cancel and receive a refund. Digital content is treated differently: the right ends once supply begins with your agreement. At checkout you are asked to confirm that you want your books emailed to you straight away, and that you understand this means you lose the statutory 14-day right to cancel once they have been sent. If you would rather keep the cancellation right, do not tick that box and do not complete the purchase - email stephen@aiclerq.com instead and we will arrange it.
To exercise the right where it still applies, email stephen@aiclerq.com with your name, order details and the date of purchase, saying clearly that you are cancelling. Any statement to that effect is enough - you do not have to use a particular form. We refund to the original payment method within 14 days of being told.
Complaints
If something has gone wrong, email stephen@aiclerq.com with your order details and what happened. We aim to acknowledge every complaint within three working days and to resolve it within 14 days. If we cannot put it right, we will say so plainly and explain why.
Refunds
We do not offer a change-of-mind refund. A free sample of the writing is published on the site so you can judge the style and usefulness before you buy, and the cancellation position above explains what happens to the statutory right when you ask for your books to be sent straight away.
If something is wrong with the book, that is different. Your statutory rights are unaffected by anything on this page. Digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If it is faulty, incomplete, will not open, or is not what the page said it was, email stephen@aiclerq.com and we will put it right - by fixing the file or refunding you. These rights come from the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and cannot be signed away.
What your licence covers
A single edition, and the complete set, are licensed for your own personal use. A team licence covers a named number of readers within one organisation: 5, 10 or 25 copies of that edition, according to the licence you bought. Everyone covered may keep their own copy on their own devices. If you need more seats than 25, or a team licence for an edition where none is listed, email stephen@aiclerq.com and we will arrange it.
The files are DRM-free as a courtesy; please do not redistribute or resell them, or share them beyond the readers your licence covers.
AI at Work Monthly
Every purchase includes AI at Work Monthly, a short monthly email about using AI in ordinary office work: what genuinely changed in the tools, and new prompts and walkthroughs built the same way as the ones in the book. It is included free with the book - you never have to buy or upgrade anything to keep receiving it.
- Every issue includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at checkout before we ever send one
- Unsubscribing does not affect any book you have bought - the files stay yours
- We use your email address for this only because you bought from us, and only for our own similar guides. We send no third-party marketing, and we will not sell your data or provide it to third parties for their own marketing
The reader list
The reader list is a separate email list, for people who have not bought anything yet. Joining it by submitting the form is your opt-in to receive launch news, series updates and occasional practical AI-at-work notes from us - the form says exactly that, and submitting it is the consent. There is no separate tick-box.
- Every email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe link
- We send no third-party marketing, and we will not sell your data or provide it to third parties for their own marketing
- Buying a book does not add you to the reader list - buyers get AI at Work Monthly instead, and the two are separate
You can unsubscribe or ask us to stop contacting you at any time by using the link in any email or by emailing stephen@aiclerq.com.
What this website is (and isn't)
The books sold on this site are educational guides. They offer general, practical guidance on using AI tools in office work; they are not professional, legal, financial or employment advice, and outcomes described in them are not guaranteed. Product pages describe the current edition of each book; prices are shown in pounds sterling and confirmed at checkout.
