Scale the operation before you scale the team.
Find the workflows worth changing, prove the value and build only what the evidence supports.
Start with a two-week Diagnostic from £2,500. Build only what the evidence supports. Every build includes three months of Run monitoring.
Returns reconciliation
An example of how the Diagnostic turns a manual workflow into a controlled decision, before anyone commits to a build.
Measured operating outcomes,
not AI theatre.
Results from operating roles held before Clerq, included to show the measurement standard we apply now. Anonymised to respect confidentiality.
Retail rollout that didn't break the back office
A growth-stage founder-led brand more than doubled its physical footprint while ecommerce kept growing. The operating work connected 3PL information, store reporting and finance controls without expanding the finance team.
Measured over 18 months: store count, time to store P&L and revenue supported by the existing finance team.
Returns reconciliation with controlled exceptions
Three systems held different records of the same returns. The workflow matched routine cases daily and sent exceptions, with evidence, to the accountable reviewer.
Measured in year one: recovered return value, monthly finance time and cost-to-recovery payback.
Diagnose. Build. Run.
Every engagement starts with a two-week Diagnostic. We build only where the evidence supports it, then include three months of monitoring, tuning and review.
Two weeks to a decision-ready workflow roadmap.
We go department by department - finance, operations, marketing, support and people - and follow the highest-value workflows. You get the baseline, prioritised opportunities, controls, delivery roadmap and fixed-price quotes where a build is recommended.
We ship working agents, not slide decks.
If the Diagnostic supports a build, we agree the scope and fixed price before work starts. We use custom agents, off-the-shelf AI tools or smarter platform setup, whichever creates the best controlled outcome.
We don't ship and disappear.
Every workflow we deliver includes three months of Run monitoring, tuning, iteration and same-day support. Continuing after that period is optional and agreed separately.
The shape of
practical AI work.
Six recurring workflows where better controls, faster decisions and less manual work can create measurable value. Every one starts with the Diagnostic.
Returns reconciliation.
Match returns across ecommerce, support, warehouse and finance systems. Clear straightforward cases and send exceptions to a named reviewer with the evidence attached.
Month-end close automation.
Prepare reconciliations, assemble evidence and route exceptions while preserving review and sign-off with the finance owner.
13-week cash-flow forecasting.
Bring current AP, AR and cash inputs into one controlled forecast, flag movements and keep assumptions owned by finance.
Customer service triage.
Classify intent, prepare straightforward responses and route edge cases with context so people stay responsible for the decisions that need judgement.
Marketing reporting automation.
Consolidate agreed sources, apply one KPI definition and deliver a review-ready pack with data-quality exceptions clearly surfaced.
Supplier & contract operations.
Validate documents, extract agreed terms, track renewals and route exceptions without removing commercial or legal ownership.
Start with a fixed
Diagnostic decision.
The first commitment is clear: a two-week Diagnostic from £2,500. Any later build is optional, separately scoped and fixed-price before work starts.
A two-week diagnostic, not a sales exercise. We find the workflows costing you the most, establish the baseline and return with a prioritised roadmap. Where a build is recommended, its scope and fixed price are stated separately. The roadmap remains yours.
Builds are scoped from the Diagnostic findings. Every completed build includes three months of monitoring, tuning and monthly review. Continuing support after that is optional.
The questions founders ask.
What does the Clerq Diagnostic actually deliver?
A two-week workflow review, prioritised roadmap, indicative impact and effort, fixed-price build quotes where a build is recommended, and a 60-minute walkthrough. The roadmap is yours to keep.
What does the Diagnostic cost?
From £2,500. The final fee is shaped by the size of your business and the breadth of what we look at, and is quoted on the 20-minute intro call before anything starts. The price of finding out what's worth doing is predictable. The price of doing it depends on what we find, and is quoted upfront and fixed before any build starts.
Do you build custom AI, or just plug in off-the-shelf tools?
Whichever controlled option fits the workflow. That may be a custom agent, an integration with a model such as Claude or GPT, or a better setup of a platform you already use. We choose the simplest approach that meets the agreed controls and acceptance criteria.
Do I have to use Clerq for the build?
No. The Diagnostic roadmap belongs to you and can be taken to another capable builder. If Clerq recommends a build, its scope and fixed price are separated from the Diagnostic so you can make a clean decision.
How quickly do you ship?
The Diagnostic is delivered within two weeks. If it supports a build, the delivery timing is agreed from the workflow scope, systems, controls and acceptance criteria before work starts.
What happens after you ship?
Every build includes three months of Run monitoring, tuning, same-day support and a monthly review. Continuing after those three months is optional and agreed separately.
Find the next workflow worth fixing.
Use the 20-minute intro to identify the operating problem, test whether a Diagnostic would help and decide whether Clerq is the right fit. No commitment.
